Our mission is to deliver affordable window products with the guarantee of a national company, without the hassle.
apple windows and doors were started in 2001 by Robert Clarke. Robert has over 15 years experience in sales, with two years spent in the window and conservatory industry. He employs two teams of window fitters, each having more than 15 years of window and conservatory fitting.
The company was formed to bridge the gap between the cheap local companies and the large national companies. Both types of organisation have a number of disadvantages to the consumer.
Problems with Cheap Local Companies
- Uninformed advice
- No real guarantees (most small c.o.’s trade only for two years)
- Low product quality
- No installation department
- Poor standard of install (salesman often fit themselves)
Problems with Large National Companies
- High Pressure sales
- Three-hour sales pitch
- High prices coupled with ludicrous pricing policies
- Faceless back up
- Contract Fitters (10 windows plus 2 doors per day)
apple’s policy is to find a happy medium between the two extremes. While we can appear to be a large corporate company we can maintain a tight local organisation through advertising and demonstrating a high corporate profile i.e. E.commerce, strong branding.
To enhance this, apple has the backing of a national organisation known as ‘SIG. They offer support through samples and brochures, printing stationery and advertising support. Due to their connection with the fitting teams SIG are prepared to back apple’s guarantee.
From the point of sale the fitting team, headed by Richard Twarog, takes control of the order. A survey is arranged within a week and the order is then processed by apple. Delivery is normally within two weeks of survey and fitting would take place within the next two-week period. The fitting date is arranged by the fitting team. From that point a guarantee is left with the customer, if for any reason a call out is required, the fitting team will re-attend.
